New Home Design: Part Two

Today we was home inspection day and it went perfectly. There are no major problems. Praise God.
So we are one step closer to closing day!

And so tonight I bring you Part Two of our new home design.

The Den
This is the den as it is now:

and this is what we will be doing:
Here is the color pallet and I will be finding some other colors to throw in the mix
We're keeping the wall color they have now

This is the rug we will be ordering from here

I believe that the focal point of the room is the fire place so we will be painting it the citrus green color from the pallet.

This is what we are thinking for the couch
and I will be looking, at thrift stores, for two non-matching chairs for the den.

I would really love for one to be a wing back chair shaped like this

I will probably reupholster them, but I have no idea what fabric yet. If anyone has any suggestions as to fabric for chairs, curtains and pillows I'll be open to them! The perfect fabric has to be out there somewhere.... right?

The more stuff we find for the den the more excited about it I get, but I am still most excited about our bedroom.

Only 43 days 'til closing!

Happy Tuesday.

Secrets Revealed.... Finally

I know all of you have been chomping at the bit to know my secret....
kidding, I've really just been chomping at the bit to tell everyone.
Thank goodness its finally time!

Stephan and I are buying a house!!!!!!

Can you tell I'm a little extremely excited!?
This is such a huge step for our little family and I couldn't be happier with the house we have chosen. We put our offer on Monday, they accepted it and we are officially under contract. Our closing date is set for August 15th and our family will move in starting August 19th.
It is going to be a crazy whirlwind of a month but I am ready to take it all head on.

We are lucky blessed enough to be purchasing the home from our good friends. I was a little nervous about buying from friends at first, because usually big business is not something you want to mix with friendship. I had to get over that fear the second we walked into their home because I was in love. The one story open floor plan is just what we were looking for and it is in our dream neighborhood I talked about over here. Another good thing about buying from friends with a similar design style to your own....  little to no painting  when we move in!

Want to see our new home?...

Isn't it beautiful...
For those of you who pray, please be praying that everything with the closing of the house over the next few weeks will go smoothly!
We are so ready to have a house to call our home and room to expand our little family!

Day Dreaming

I really shouldn't have too much time to myself because when I do this happens...

I start picking out our second house...
Which isn't all bad, we just cant buy one right this moment, so it's a little premature picking.
Today I found this fabulous 4bed 2bath home in the wonderful neighborhood of Southern Trace (or Highlands Trace as most people who live there would call it) in Leeds. When we do move, aside from building on family land, this is my (our) ideal spot.
Since I only work a few days a week, I am pretty much a stay at home mom. Living in Southern Trace would put us around a TON of friends. I would have lots of stay at home mom's to hang out with and Ephraim would have lots of buddies to play with. The neighborhood also has a pool which is a big plus.

A house like this would give us room to add one more little munchkin to the family and have a play room!

I just pray that when the time does come for us to actually purchase our first home that one as perfect as this will be available!
Psalm 37:4

I am so thankful for the house God has given us for right now, but if we don't dream what do we have to work towards?
