who loves wall decals?!

A few days ago I was trying to decide between robots or superheros for Ephraim's playroom design.
I decided on superhero's.
I just couldn't stop thinking how awesome he would think Stephan and I are if we give him this kick butt superhero playroom.

Remember this cool decal I found?

Well I am going to be getting something along the same lines of it, but from this amazing company

Danielle and her husband Paul are the designers behind Urban Walls and they have given me an amazing offer to share with ya'll! They are offering a discount code good for 20% off your purchase from their Etsy shop. Just use the code IHEARTDECALS

Danielle got in touch with me at the perfect time! Since we're moving I have a blank canvas to work with and I just might have a decal from them in every room of the house. Ha!

Check out some of my favorites:
I love this for our master bedroom. I was thinking of painting it but a decal will turn out much nicer!

I love anything that's a chalk board so this is right up my ally. I think this will fit nicely in our kitchen

I so wish I had a place for this amazing piece. Maybe one day!

We will have a smaller laundry room but I still wanted to find a way to decorate it. This will be perfect.

I have been looking for a growth chart from little E and this one will go great in our superhero themed play room I'll just need to change the color.
you can pick any decal and totally personalize it. Urban Walls also does custom orders. Oh, and did I mention... their prices are the most reasonable I've found so far!

So as if their decals weren't awesome enough, they have a second Etsy shop called PixleCloud.

There you can find cute stuff like this:
when I have a little girl... this will be in her room!

I love these house rules prints! Such a cute idea.

You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter

Go check them out and take advantage of that discount code!

{discount code valid for decals only}

Super Hero's VS. Robots

Today we took a quick family trip to get something nice to frame the Avengers poster in, that I got Stephan for his birthday.
After dinner, while Stephan was seeing if his poster looked good in the frame we chose, inspiration struck.....
Super hero themed play room!
Best idea ever?!....
I think so!

But remember when I showed you my favorite "pins" from the week....
One of them was a super cute robot picture.

I'm a little torn...
Here is what I have planned if we used super hero's as our theme
we would paint the walls some kind of typical superhero blue (...well at least that's what I'm thinking) and buy this precious Gotham City wall decal
Then I fell in love with these!
and this last picture I found here and I love it... but I think I'll try to make it myself!
So there are my few ideas for the super hero theme.

And here is all I have for the Robots
I mean how stinking adorable is this "keep calm and do the robot" sign?!
and then of course there is the cute picture from earlier, that really doesn't match these new robot pictures I've found at all, but you know whatever...

I think I've got more of a solid design with the super hero theme so it might be winning me over for right now.
What do you guys think?

11 days til move day

We move in 11 days...
Holy Cow!!

I have a whopping three boxes packed...

I have never been good at packing. When I moved from my parents house to an apartment, I just threw all my stuff in the back of a truck... no boxes or organization. Hopefully tomorrow I will find some motivation to get some serious packing done!

In the mean time I will continue to stall the packing process by showing you fabulous people some of my favorite pinterest finds of the week..

Why did I not think of this before?!

I must have this.. but it's a little pricey so we will be making it ourselves

most of what I pinned this week was geared towards the playroom. It wasn't going to be a top priority when we moved in but for some reason I'm really excited about it. I want to try and get it done so it is a fun place for E and his buddies to play while Stephan and I have friends over for dinner.... Plus I've always wanted to decorate a fun bright play room.

On a side note... I found the perfect end table today at a secondhand furniture shop
Org price: $79
Today's price: $39.50
My offer price: $20 SOLD
yes I know it is horribly ugly a little rough looking right now...
I'm sure whoever re did this piece meant well but I'm planning on taking it a different direction. More to some on that soon...

I hope to get back to blogging more this week, but I can't make any promises. Planning the move, and packing.... well planning to pack are taking up most of my time these days. Bear with me.. things will settle down here soon and I'm sure my inspiration will return!

It's Okay Thursday

It's OK....

That I'm linking up for my first "It's ok" Thursday with only 30 minutes left on Thursday

That I was planning on going to bed an hour ago but I spilled water all over the bed so I'm having to dry my sheets

That I have been blogging for two years (off and on) and I have just now made an about me page

That we move to our new house in 16 days and I have packed one box

That tonight after Ephraim fell asleep I went to watch him sleep

That you might think I'm a creepy mom for watching my baby sleep

That I marathon Monk episodes when my husband is working late

That I'm none to happy that Mark Sloan will not be part of Grey's anymore

That I love the Olympics but I'm ready for them to be over so Master Chef and So You Think You Can Dance will come back on

That I'm seriously considering leaving the sheets off my bed because I'm too tired to put them back on now

Happy Almost Friday

Friday Please Come Quickly

The past few weeks have been very busy for my family. Between work, church, small group and new house stuff I feel like just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done. I know my posts have been suffering due to all the craziness and I apologize. I've lost a few followers in the past few day. So sad...

Life will slow down a bit here shortly and I will be back to posting more regularly.

I am excited to say I will have be getting a little break starting Friday.
I will be headed here with my family.
Sky Valley, Georgia
Our beach vacation was with the hubs side of the family and this mountain vacation will be with my side of the family.
Unfortunately, Stephan wont be able to take off work to go with us...
You don't even want to get me started on that story. His boss may or may not be on my bad list.

It will be strange spending a week away from the hubs, but I know it would crush my grandparents if E and I didn't go.
I am seriously looking forward to relaxing on that porch with a cup of coffee and a good book.

While I'm away I will have some ladies keeping ya'll entertained!

I have some days still open so if anyone is interested in a guest post spot lets chat!

New Home Design: Part Two: A

So this really isn't going to be much of a post. I apologize in advance!
Yesterday I found the perfect fabric for our new den...
There are the four fabrics I've chosen and there is our color pallet, again.
The top left fabric will probably be used for a chair as well as the bottom right fabric. The top right and bottom left fabrics will be used for couch pillows. I know there is no blue in the pallet but I really wanted to bring some in. I'm crossing my fingers it will work!

Ya'll should head over to Olivia's blog and check out my interview with her.

I am headed to eat a bowl of peach ice cream the hubs brought home!

Goodnight...

New Home Design: Part Two

Today we was home inspection day and it went perfectly. There are no major problems. Praise God.
So we are one step closer to closing day!

And so tonight I bring you Part Two of our new home design.

The Den
This is the den as it is now:

and this is what we will be doing:
Here is the color pallet and I will be finding some other colors to throw in the mix
We're keeping the wall color they have now

This is the rug we will be ordering from here

I believe that the focal point of the room is the fire place so we will be painting it the citrus green color from the pallet.

This is what we are thinking for the couch
and I will be looking, at thrift stores, for two non-matching chairs for the den.

I would really love for one to be a wing back chair shaped like this

I will probably reupholster them, but I have no idea what fabric yet. If anyone has any suggestions as to fabric for chairs, curtains and pillows I'll be open to them! The perfect fabric has to be out there somewhere.... right?

The more stuff we find for the den the more excited about it I get, but I am still most excited about our bedroom.

Only 43 days 'til closing!

Happy Tuesday.

New Home Design: Part One

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Monday!
I was thankful for the rainy day we had here because it brought the temp down about 20 degrees. I do not do hot weather so I have been miserable in the 106 temps we've been having the past week.

I spent most of my rainy day playing and reading to my little man. He is getting his 1 year molars and they are kicking his butt... During E's nap I started to mentally decorate our new house.

The room I am most excited about is the master bedroom. At the house we are in now our room is a boring solid white with grey bedding. I am so tired of zero color.
Here is the master bedroom in the new house:
and here is what we will be changing:
we will be making this headboard with this yellow fabric, instead of grey.

and we will be using this amazing fabric to make curtains.

we may be taking this chair from Ephraim's room and putting it where they have the chair, in the picture.
What do ya'll think about that?

I'm in love with these printables, and this one will probably be making an appearance somewhere in our room.
Soon I will be going thrift-ing/estate sale-ing/yard sale-ing/flea market-ing in search of a dresser {because our bedroom is not only colorless but basically furniture-less} a bedside table and something to put our tv on. I will be refinishing most, if not all, of what I find. I could not be more excited about having a garage to refinish furniture in. I am hoping to get good enough at it to where I can put pieces in my store. {don't forget if you use the coupon code blogreaders10 at checkout you will recieve 10% off!}

I know our bedroom should be the third room on our list of rooms to re-do when we move in but I am so excited about it I might make it the first room.

Coming soon:
