Fill in the Blank Friday

It's finally Friday! This week went by slow and fast, if that's even possible. I'm linking up with Lauren today for her series Fill in the Blank Friday. As she would say, "Time for some blanking!"

1. The best surprised ever would be: If Stephan planned a special secret date night like he used to when we were dating. He always planned the best surprise dates {even if he didn't think they special}.

2. The day I knew I was in love with Stephan and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him :{is one of} my most favorite memories.

3. The hardest, but most worthwhile thing I have ever done was: having Ephraim and also breastfeeding. I do regret not sticking with it longer.

4. The best part of my day is: when Stephan gets home from work. We open the door right before, I know, he will be pulling up and Ephraim sits and watches for him. When Stephan pulls up Ephraim screams and giggles. I am a huge fan of our family time together. I'm selfish and wish Stephan didn't have to work so that we could hang out together all day.

5. Something I like that most people don't is: I honestly can't think of something crazy that I like to do that people don't but I guess I will go with running. I know that a lot of people run but from talking to runner friends I've come to find out that it's a love hate relationship. It's not that way for me. I love running and when I'm at a point where I'm running every day and I skip a day, it throws my whole day off and I feel nasty.

6. Something I'm willing to fight for: My faith and my marriage/family.

7. Something you might not know about me is: that I failed high school geometry my sophomore year. I am horrible at math and my brain doesn't see geometric shapes properly so I struggled.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Today has been fun, so far. E and I took little Lyla on a walk. She made it half a mile (which with her little legs and my power walking was more like two miles, for her.) then she hitched a ride with E.
He is telling her all about the basket ball he saw in someones yard and just about came out of his stroller for. We will have to take the monster Samson for a walk later. It's just too much to handle all three of them at one time. In case anyone was wondering... Samson is a whopping 50lbs and just turned five months old.
I just love it when his ears do this. It makes him so much cuter haha.
Earlier in the week I promised today would be my first Fill in the Blank Friday. You can link up here to join in on the fun!
1.) My bedtime routine includes: Putting Ephraim to bed, watching a tv show or two with the hubs, getting in bed and doing one or all of the following: having a convo with the hubs about our day, watching something on hulu, and/or checking facebook, twitter, instagram etc. for the last time of the night.

2.) I am: really having a hard time finishing this post today. I have literally been staring at the screen for about an hour. Sad. I am also really excited about this post. Weird.

3.) I can't stand: when people come to complete stop in a merge lane  because  it is a MERGE lane not a stop sign, You have a WHOLE lane!!! You are going to end up getting rear-ended. End rant.

4. My idea of relaxation would be: A weekend a week away with my hubby. Some where tropical. Who wants to make this happen for us?!

5. If I had an extra $50, I would: Probably think about using it on something nice for myself, since I have three shirt, a pair of jeans and a dress I rotate between right now, but then end up spending it on E or Stephan. It seems to always happen that way...

6. The best thing about a bloggy friend is: They are all so very nice and encouraging. Everyone should be like that. :)

7.  A recipe I've been dying to try is: I can't say there is one I have been DYING to try, but this one is on my to make soon list!
I hope you all have a very lovely weekend!

Goals

I have had some free time on my hands the past two days, while the little one naps, so what have I been doing? Finding new blogs to read. Confession: I am not a huge reader of other blogs. Yes, I know how horrible that is. I have a few that I follow and read all the time but other than that I'm just content to post on here and go about my day.
I am about to change that! Every week I will be posting (trying to post, cut me a little slack b/c I chase a 14 month old around all day) links to a few of my favorite new blogs.
I am really wanting to blog more frequently so I am trying to come up with fun ideas. Some new things to be looking for would be Meet me Monday and also my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days, and  Fill in the Blank Fridays. I will also be posting my favorite new recipes we have been/will be trying. If there is anything you guys would like to read about feel free to email me: Rachel21689@gmail.com. If anyone is ever interested in having a guest post slot let me know (via email). It's a good way to get new readers for your blog :)
Here is my first list of the three blogs I found this week that I think everyone should read:
Olivia is an amazing, strong, sweet, southern twenty-something. She is incredibly candid about her faith, love life, and battle with cancer. She paints a beautiful picture of her life no matter how flawed it may be. I feel like everyone should have the kind of courage she does. She is truly an inspiration.
I found Kelly's blog button while skimming pinterest. Right away I knew I had to read it. I mean if eat yourself skinny doesn't sound perfect I don't know what does. Kelly is a twenty-something foodie, with the cutest yorkie you will ever see. She is an extremely accomplished blogger. You know she's legit because the Doctor Oz show is asking her to be on a segment of their show. Pretty amazing. Three of the five meals I'll be cooking the next two weeks will be from her blog.
I found Lauren while reading some of Olivia's posts. She has some great reoccurring posts (which are always fun). She is married to her high school sweet heart and they recently had a precious little girl named Fern. I love that name! Her little family is precious and I really think everyone will enjoy the adventures she shares.

There are my first three. Everyone please check them out. The few sentences I have described them in can not do them justice. Keep an eye out for all my newness to come. I am excited about it, if you cant tell. First Fill in the Blank Friday coming in 2days...
