Hello lovely readers... I have missed y'all!
I hope y'all enjoyed reading the posts from some wonderful ladies while I was away.
Friday evening Ephraim and I got home from our wonderful mountain vacation with my family!
This was truly one of the most relaxing vacations I have ever been on. I am still bummed Stephan couldn't come with us. He deserves some relaxation too!
We didn't have many scheduled activities on this vacation. We did a lot of rocking on the porch, riding bikes and antique shopping. It was so good to get to spend time with family I don't get to see all the time.
I think the best way to share our trip with y'all would be through all the pictures I took, while there.
This was our home. I wish we could live here for real...
That is, if it didn't take 20 minuets to get down to any type of civilization. And if that civilization wasn't a Piggly Wiggly that only had three flavors of Blue Bell ice cream.
But this view kind of makes up for the lack of things to do in town.
One morning we went to breakfast at the Dillard house. E ate:
Blackberries
Strawberries
A pancake
Half a Biscuit
Eggs
Grits
A little Sausage and some Bacon
The Dillard house has a farm out back. E loved the animals
after the Dillard house we headed to the Fun Factory
This little guy rode on my parents car from our house, to the Dillard House, stayed on through breakfast and then hitched a ride to the Fun Factory.
Ephraim helped me and my sister play games. He even played whack a gator "all by himself." We had 5,000 tickets and E was very excited about all his winnings. His favorite was the train cup.
One day while pulling up at the pool I spotted this guy....
No your eyes did not deceive you, that is a dog in a bag wearing goggles...
Most days it was cloudy and cool, but we got two good pool days. Ephraim swam for two hours on our second pool day!
Down at the bottom of the mountain, there was this gorgeous field, surrounded with a white fence. My sister and I made friends with the horses who lived there. We fed them biscuits and grapes almost everyday.
On this trip E discovered his love for bubbles. He also leaned how to say bubble. And ball and papa(My dad) and he perfected uh-oh....
My Granddaddy used to work for Hormel and every where he goes he asks the people he meets if they have heard of SPAM. You know like the nasty smelly meat in a can...? My Nana brought all the grand kids SPAM t-shirts, so we could take a picture with my Granddaddy.
Do you think we could be on awakwardfamilyphotos.com?
E's SPAM shirt was more of a SPAM dress, but he still looked cute!
We had a great time, but we're really glad to be home with Stephan.
It looks like you had a great vacation and made a lot of wonderful memories as a family. I especially liked the picture of that motorcycle riding puppy...how funny was that?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the spam shirts! Definitely AFP worthy, LOL. And I have the same iPhone case :) www.kjpugs.com
